Dear Pilsen Neighbors stakeholder,
Our condolences and prayers go to families and individuals that are being directly affected by the COVID-19 virus. It is important that everyone is taking the steps to ensure protection and safety for yourself and those around you. If you need more information on what steps to take to ensure safety for your health, visit the Center for Disease Control and Prevention’s website, as well as the City of Chicago’s website at cdc.gov and chicago.gov/covid19.
We are doing our part in monitoring COVID-19 developments and following the proper procedures to ensure the well-being of our staff, partners, leaders, and community stakeholders. We will be limiting in-person meetings with our staff and partners as everyone should try to go out as least as possible to avoid contracting the virus. Our organization will be moving to online/conference calls to assure that our schedule for the year still takes place while following recommendations from the city and state. This includes initiatives like our Fiesta del Sol Guadalupe A. Reyes Scholarship which gives financial support to those who qualify for the scholarship, which the deadline was extended to May 8th to give students enough time to apply. Our offices will be closed; however, we will be monitoring our e-mail to answer any questions you may have. In partnership with the 25th Ward Alderman Byron Sigcho Lopez’ office, we are monitoring the situation with the city to provide any updates that are necessary. We wish everyone the best.
Best,
PNCC Team
