Drivers License Reinstatement Expo

Pilsen Neighbors and partners will be hosting the 9th Driver’s License Reinstatement Expo on September 16th at Malcolm X College.

The Driver’s License Reinstatement Expo was created as a restorative justice event, where members of the community have a valuable and unique opportunity of starting the pathway to have their driver’s license reinstated. During this event, if your case qualifies and meets all the requirements,  your driver’s license might be reinstated that same day.

It is important to note that Pilsen Neighbors Community Council and its partners are the only organizations that host this type of events outside of Chicago’s downtown circuit courts.

During the event, besides the reinstatement of driver’s licenses, our partners offer a variety of resources available to the community.

Please read carefully:

-Your pre-registration does not guarantee your participation in the Expo.

-Once you register, the Secretary of State and Public Defender’s offices will review your case and determine whether you qualify for a free consultation, court hearing, or if your case does not qualify to participate in this event.

-There will be a follow-up e-mail notifying whether or not you qualify to participate in court.

-NO cases with warrants will qualify for court.

-NO cases with private attorneys will qualify for court. Court is limited to Cook County cases less than 10 years old.

-Failure to appear after confirmation will result in automatic disqualification for future DLRE events.
