Fiesta del Sol
Fiesta del Sol serves as our annual fundraiser to support our year-round organizing efforts. The family-friendly festival draws over 1.3 million visitors during the four-day event, every year. Fiesta del Sol is the largest Latino festival of its kind in the country, bringing: live entertainment, local art, a variety of food, carnival rides, a children’s area, educational resources for parents and youth, soccer games and much more.
Fuerza del Sol
The Fuerza del Sol Justice Task Force is the youth and adults organizing table of Pilsen Neighbors Community Council and Gamaliel of Metro Chicago. Their mission is to increase and solidify community engagement and involvement in the city of Chicago with a focus on Social Justice. The key issues identified by the task force are criminal justice and civil rights of immigrants. The purpose of this initiative is to help young people understand the power in the public arena so that they can become strong leaders and advocates on issues affecting the community.
Fuerza del Sol is made up of young people from all over the city. We are open to meet active and forward-thinking leaders to help make a bigger impact in our communities.

Recorrido del Sol 5K
The Recorrido del Sol 5K Run/Walk is a fundraiser for Pilsen Neighbors Community Council and the Illinois Dream Fund. This partnership supports the Guadalupe A. Reyes Fiesta del Sol Scholarship, all while allowing passionate runners and families to run for a good cause.
