Its mission is to provide necessary resources for underrepresented students with a focus on successful recruitment, college access and affordability, retention, and college completion.

Mission:

The University Round Table (URT) is a coalition of higher-education institutions and college-access advocates in the Chicago area. Our mission is to enhance opportunities for underrepresented students by focusing on college recruitment, affordability, retention, and degree completion.

Purpose:

URT serves as a collaborative platform where institutions and organizations coordinate resources, share best practices, and support student success from application to graduation.

Annual Events:

Application Review (April–May): URT members assist in evaluating scholarship applications for underrepresented students.
Interview Process (May–June): Finalists share their goals and community involvement through structured interviews.
Scholarship Awards (July): Recipients are honored and receive support toward their higher-education journey.
Fiesta del Sol College Week (July): URT partners host college-access workshops, resource sessions, and recognition events during the Fiesta.
