Community Education Center (CEC)

Overview

Connecting Skills to Opportunity

The CEC serves as a job market connector, creating pathways for individuals to enter education, health, and tech careers. We bridge the gap between training and employment by building partnerships that help students find the opportunities they need.

Education & Workforce Development

The CEC will be a hub for  courses in collaboration with City Colleges of Chicago, offering non-traditional students access to quality education:

  • Malcolm X College – Health Care Courses, Adult Learning, ACT/SAT Prep
  • Harold Washington College – Business Courses
  • Richard Daley College – Technology Courses
  • Truman College – Teaching Courses

By grouping students with worksite partners across multiple sectors, we facilitate hands-on exposure and real-world experience.

Business Incubator for Communities

The CEC is developing a business incubator model in collaboration with City Colleges of Chicago to support entrepreneurs in Pilsen, Chinatown, and Back of the Yards. We're building sustainable pathways for community-driven business growth.
