The building's layout is carefully crafted to accommodate a range of functions, from administrative operations to educational and residential facilities, creating a holistic environment conducive to cultivating future leaders.

First Floor

The first floor serves as the main entry and service hub, featuring a welcoming lobby with direct elevator and stair access. Facilities include restrooms for both women and men, along with office and admin office spaces positioned for operational efficiency

Second Floor

The second floor supports business and educational initiatives, featuring flexible space alongside specialized areas including a business incubator, classroom, and board room. Restroom facilities for both women and men are available, with elevator and stair access complemented by an immigration and counseling office.

Third Floor

The third floor provides residential and recreational spaces, featuring flexible space with dormitory rooms for extended stays. Restroom facilities for both women and men are available, alongside an outdoor deck offering fresh air and community gathering opportunities. Elevator and stair access complete the floor.

Full Building

A vertically organized community facility that seamlessly integrates administrative, educational, residential, and recreational programs. The design prioritizes accessibility through central circulation while distinctly organizing functional zones across three floors—from administrative services at the base to mixed-use flexible spaces and residential quarters above, anchored by an outdoor deck.

The Leadership Development Institute (LDI) will be the foundation building to continue the Pilsen Neighbors Community Council legacy, whose mission is to work to establish policies and practices in the Pilsen and Southwest areas of Chicago to bring justice and equality by investing in the development of community leaders and pastors through leadership training and action.
