Pilsen Neighbors Community Council will be hosting a virtual “Advance Parole” event on Tuesday, October 11th at 5 pm.

The goal of this workshop is to inform DACA recipients, how to apply for permission to travel abroad. This permit is called “Advance Parole”. Advance parole is a travel document granting permission to certain foreign nationals to re-enter the U.S. after traveling abroad.

The most significant aspect of applying for Advance Parole, is that it enables Dreamers to adjust their legal status in the United States.

In addition, we will have community leaders and immigration attorneys talking about what options are available for undocumented students without DACA, and other immigration resources, such as medical card for undocumented immigrants, Covid relief fund for undocumented immigrants, and what scholarships are available for DACA Renewals.
